Every year a staggering number of children approach their parents and say, "Mom, Dad, tell me the truth, is there really a Santa Claus?" Many an adult is terrified at the prospect of having to answer this question. THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE!

Fortunately, a close friend of mine from Richmond, Virginia, who is an author, vocalist and radio-TV personality has written two wonderful books that give parents and children good reason for believing in my existence.

NEW!! - a collector's item!

A colorful telling of the history of Saint Nicholas. Published by Dietz Press.

"Thirty-nine years ago a phone call from a shopping center manager started me on a quest. It was the first day of the Christmas season. The mall had hired a professional football linebacker to play Santa. He was big. He was strong. But sadly, he found the line Santa faced more than he could handle. On the first break, of the first day, he left the field, never to return. As a favor I filled in. The promised replacement never materialized. I was hooked.

At the outset I had no idea what I was doing. There were many questions but few answers. Over the years I devoured books, articles and editorials that dealt with Christmas, Saint Nicholas, Santa and related subjects. . ."

This is a new release and is sure to become a treasure in many families.

First Edition - a collector's item!

This book, illustrated by the award winning artist D.K. Stone, was published by John Knox Press in 1968.

Upon release, one New York critic said it was: "The first significant work about Saint Nicholas or Santa Claus since the 1820's when Dr. Moore wrote, "T’was The Night Before Christmas......."

The book begins:

"When you're Little, trying to be big, there comes a time when you wonder if there really is a Santa Claus. Yes, there are presents every Christmas, and his name is often on the tag. But why is Santa sometimes big and sometimes small? And why does he sometimes have a low voice and sometimes a high voice? And how can he be here, and there, and everywhere?

When you're little, it's hard to understand. But now you're bigger, and now you ought to know."

The book goes on to explain, in terms a child can understand, why there really is a Santa Claus and opens the door for them to eventually move on to an adult understanding of Santa Claus - when the time is right.

My friend tells me that there are a limited number of first edition copies left.

First Edition - Very Few Copies Left!

Please note that the "no" is crossed out and an "A" is inserted above so that the title reads: "How Do You Tell a Child There is A Santa Claus?"

This book is aimed at adults and spells out, in a mildly humorous way, the four phases of understanding a child goes through in attaining an adult understanding of the Christmas Spirit.

This book was published by The Dietz Press of Richmond, Virginia. The illustrator was Bill Nelson, an award winning and internationally recognized artist whose work has more than once been featured on the covers of Time and Newsweek, and in the body of Esquire.

The opening lines are:

How do you tell a child there is no Santa Claus?

YOU DON'T!

People seldom think about how to answer the question until it is posed. As a result they are caught off guard and can't take advantage of one of life's most beautiful opportunities to help a child.

A very limited number of First Edition copies are left. The Second Edition is already SOLD OUT!
