Cookies and Milk
For years I have wondered about all that milk and all those cookies that are left out for Santa every Christmas Eve. This year, after the crumbs had settled, I asked him, "Do you actually eat all those cookies and drink all that milk?"
He said, "They are consumed."
I thought this a little evasive so I pursued the subject. "By you?" This is what he had to say.

There is one place in the world, noted for leaving out cookies. There are approximately 28 million homes in that area. At least half of them leave out a minimum of one cookie and a glass of milk. A glass of milk weighs roughly half a pound. Even a small cookie weighs a quarter to a half an ounce. When you do the math you find that, in that area alone, I am faced with somewhere between 10 million and 15 million glasses of milk plus at least that many cookies. That amounts to a couple thousand tons of "goodies."
I can assure you that almost every ounce left out for me is consumed. But I have to admit I have a lot of help from my friends. Friend is spelled "Mom" or "Dad."

Santa had obviously had a busy year and needed a nap so we terminated the conversation.
Ill be in touch next month.
