International Greetings

When Santa left last time he was in a hurry and used a couple of expressions in foreign languages: Tempus fugit (Latin), and Toki ga sukoshi des (Japanese). Both expressions meaning there isn’t much time so we better hurry. I asked him if he was adept with languages across the board. This was his answer.

I am no where near as accomplished with languages as my friend Charles Berlitz who is fluent in 27 languages and able to get along in several others but I can wish you a Merry Christmas no matter where you are in the world. For example

He then whipped through: Chinese, Aramaic, Ukrainian, Hebrew, Arabic, Russian, Greek, Japanese and Polish - all languages that my word processor can’t spell.

He had a twinkle in his eye when he finished off with the Anglo/Irish expression "O’Ho, O’Ho, O’Ho."
