Introducing "US" The other day I finally worked up my courage and asked Santa why he functions the way he does. His actions seem to defy human nature. This was his response. --------------------------------------------0-------------------------------------------- To begin with I am not a human. I am an immortal spirit and as such you would not necessarily expect me to act like a human. My over all objective is peace on earth. As I understand it, peace is the absence of strife. To be in a peaceful state does not necessarily mean that you are deliriously happy. It simply means that you are not subjected to strife. Going a step further, to my way of thinking, the primary reasons for strife are greed on the part of some, which leads to envy on the part of others, with an end result of strife. Over the years it has become increasingly clear that adults are not doing a very good job of reducing the amount of greed and envy in the world and as a result are not making appreciable progress toward peace. It is for this reason that I have targeted children. It is my hope that I can reach them while they are still impressionable and guide them into an understanding that it is far more rewarding to be a “giver” than a “getter” and that the bonus for adopting this attitude is a more desirable world peopled by loving and caring human beings It may surprise you to know that I am not the only entity with this orientation. There are sixty-seven of us - and - it is our plan that next year you will be hearing from “US.” --------------------------------------------0-------------------------------------------- And once again he was gone.
